Promise Night

On the 12th of September 2007, 5 girls from Winston Hills supernova Guides, Melanie D, Melissa, Shayley, Katie and Laura, renewed their promise as a Supernova Guide in an all new, inspiring promise ceremony. The ceremony was indeed one of a kind as the girls began by making a promise chain where each girl would connect a coloured strip of paper with their name on it and the date they made their promise, starting with the girls who made their promise first. We then linked the chains and once the girls who were renewing their promise did so, they too added their link on. The girls then added an extra spark to the evening as Melissa played a captivating song about duty and promise and law and a poem was also read out by one of the girls about the guide law. This was one of the greatest moments in the history of the Supernova Guides and is set to bring about an ongoing tradition of creative, unique promise ceremonies in the future. Well done Supernovas on such a great night!!!!
