Ready-steady-cook food night

By Dasni

It was all fun and games for the Supernovas at the ready-steady-cook night on the 30th of August 2007 as they battled against the clock to cook a series of scrumptious delights out of a varying set of food ingredients, including pasta, biscuits, carrots and stir fry noodles. The girls began by deciding what entrée, main course and desert they would like and then got stuck straight in, getting out the mixing bowls, knives and wooden spoons. An attempted creation of the show ‘ready-steady-cook’, which wasn’t as accurate as it could be as we cheated slightly and used other ingredients! However the girls did very well despite this toiling away cutting, chopping, peeling, rolling, stirring and baking to their heart’s content, and were generously rewarded with a magnificent array of food and treats. Amongst menu for the feast that was procured on the night, were chocolate spiders, vegetable pasta, hot chocolate, omelet quiches, ice cream with a cheesecake biscuit base and a very unusual yet surprisingly tasty blue mashed potato and crackers with rainbow sprinkles.
