In March 2009, the Supernova Senior Guides travelled to Nord's Wharf to take part in the movie-themed State Regatta. During the event we joined with the Senior Guides from Bayside and Beecroft to form the Beenova Bunnies (a combined name of the 3 groups). It was a hilarious weekend with canoeing, rowing and kayaking races. We made a new record of the longest time on the water (I think it was somewhere around 8 minutes, when everyone else only took about 2) as well as a spectacular capsize. The annual raft race also created much laughter as we raced on our self-built raft made of buckets tied together. The Saturday finished with a great campfire and roasted marshmallows as is tradition. On Sunday there were all sorts of land activities offered such as creating edible pictures, recognising show tunes and creating cups to hold our cinema popcorn.
