Careflight Visit
During June 2008, the Winston Hills Supernova Guides were invited to visit the Careflight headquarters in Westmead. The night was quite interesting, starting off with a talk about Careflight's purpose and an explanation of what they do. We were later privileged to view one of the helicopters in the hanger and learn about the day to day operations of the centre. The night concluded with refreshments, including marshmallows which we, in true Guiding fashion, decided to roast by the gas heater. The experience was quite fascinating and we would like to thank Careflight for this opportunity.
