 JOTA 2007
JOTA's 50th anniversary was a hit in The Hills
Region!
JOTA (Jamboree Of The Air) is a worldwide event where around 500,000 scouts
and guides from around the globe communicate via radio. This is a very
special year as this is the 50th Anniversary of Jota around the world. To
celebrate, The Hills Region ran some radios to communicate with Guides and
Scouts around the world as well as running many games and activities related to
the event. The scouts also ran JOTI simultaneously
in their hall where the girls can also chat to guides and scouts around the
world on the internet. The day was great fun and it was great to see so
many Guides there.

Lots of fun talking on the radio to other Guides and Scouts

Heaps of communication games with semaphore, morse code, braille, sign language,
pen and ink writing, lots of patrol games and tonnes of craft.

And a big birthday party for the end!
